Imagine a quiet section of coastline on the southeast edge of Antigua, where a peninsula forms a secluded blue lagoon known as Mamora Bay. The St James Club Resort is 30 minutes from Antigua’s V. C. Bird International Airport and on the southeast coast of Antigua.


The 247 Guest Rooms cover the ground floor, first floor and second floor (note: there are no lifts. Each room contains air conditioning, television, WIFI access, hot drink making facilities, a safe deposit box, and hairdryer.


The Club rooms’ are on the ground floor and have a balcony or terrace, and a full garden view and one king-size bed, suitable for 2 adults maximum.


Guests staying in the club’s 48 waterfront Royal Suites’ have access to the following amenities: HD, flat screen television, iPod docking station, DVD player and complimentary internet access.

Tranquility Body & Soul Spa at St James Club


Perched upon a hilltop overlooking Mamora Bay, Tranquility Body & Soul Spa will be among the most beautiful spas you’ve ever seen! It has five treatment suites and one couples’ treatment suite; treatment suites offer private bathrooms and showers.


The spa outdoor treatment pavilion provides stunning views of the bay. Guests choose from a wide range of treatments. The black magma treatment includes a natural healing mud. Spa Tranquility features Pevonia Botanica spa products and a full-service salon. The services include; manicures, pedicures, professional make-up application, and hair treatments.


Some say that the massage uses a heavenly scented oil along with an amazing scalp massage. Imagine a massage on an open-air serenity deck with the sound of birds singing, and the waves washing against the beach below.


Kidz Club


The award-winning Kidz Club offers adult supervision and activities for potty-trained children, ages 4 to 11, from 9:15 a.m. to 11 p.m.


Children can have their meals at the club, which means parents can enjoy a private dinner alone. Babysitting is available for an additional fee.


Teen Pavilion


The beachside, open-air Teen Pavilion, features pool tables, table tennis, and other fun games. Activities include karaoke, food, music, dancing, and more.

Reef Deck Pool - This is the main pool with its own Reef Deck Bar. Great vibe with Caribbean music in the background.


Children’s Pool - In the Village and available for kids aged 12 and under.


Tiered Pool - Tucked into the hillside, this three-tier Tranquility Pool is for adults only who want a quiet swim or a poolside nap.


Coco’s Pool - Next to Coco Beach Restaurant & Bar so you can take a post-meal dip.

Dining at St James Club


St. James’s Club & Villas features five restaurants and a beachside grill on Mamora Beach. Children’s menus are available in every restaurant.


The restaurants range from the informal Beach Grill on Mamora Bay, where you can get fresh fish sandwiches with tortilla chips, to the fine dining Piccolo Mondo, serving delicious Italian cuisine with a Caribbean twist. 


The restaurant dress code at St James Club


The dress code for every restaurant. Shoes to be worn, and bathing costumes covered.


After 6.30pm men to wear trousers and a shirt with a collar. The dress code does not allow T-shirts and tank tops at the restaurants.

After 6.30pm Women to wear dresses, skirts, culottes or Bermuda length shorts. Short-shorts, cut-off shorts, and the dress code does not allow flip flops.


Rainbow Garden


The main dining room set in the resort’s tropical gardens. It is open for breakfast and lunch daily for buffet or a la carte dining. An evening a la carte menu is available for dinner.


Breakfast offers everything from an extensive buffet and food cooked to order. There is fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, cheeses and cold meats, and an excellent choice of pastries.


Lunch includes fish or meat cooked fresh at the grill. Then plenty of fresh salads and a tempting choice of desserts. 


Seating is indoors or on the terrace, especially enjoyable in the evening. 


Coco’s Restaurant


Serves a local tapas-style dinner menu right on Coco Beach with refreshing ocean breezes and great views. You can eat breakfast here too.




Restaurant and bar surrounded by lush gardens in a hilltop setting. It is open from 11 am to 11 pm and serves a casual variety of salads, soups, burgers and pastas, amid stunning ocean views.


The Docksider


The Docksider offers a delicious buffet of seafood and Caribbean dishes. This restaurant nestles in the palm trees overlooking Mamora Bay.


The Beach Bar & Grill


A beachside grill on Mamora Beach serves up hamburgers, grilled fish sandwiches, and other quick bites until 6 p.m. daily


Piccolo Mondo


The resort's fine dining restaurant offers Mediterranean and Caribbean cuisine. It provides an intimate and elegant atmosphere. Its hillside setting affords breathtaking bay views. There is a US$40 per person surcharge per visit – well worth the extra for a great dining experience.


Coffee Shop


Next to the Main Lobby surrounded by a wooden verandah with views over the bay. Great range of coffee, non-diary, and pastries.

Accommodation – all-inclusive Antigua


At St. James’s Club, guests can choose spacious suites, luxurious villas, or chic guestrooms. The resort features two distinct accommodations areas:


Club with 225 oversize hotel-style guest rooms and 48 waterfront Royal Suite Rooms.


The Village with 15 villas along a gentle sloping hillside bordering Mamora Bay Beach.


Wi-Fi service is available at a cost of US$10 per day, US$30 for 4 days (72 hours), US$42 per week, or US$55 for 10 days. It is complimentary in the Royal Suites and the Main Lobby.

The Village Villas


The villas are ideal for couples, families and groups, The Village offers 12 two-bedroom villas. Things to do in Antigua


Shirley Heights


By day or night, there are spectacular views of Galleon Beach and English Harbour.


Plan an evening visit for stunning views of the sunset. Then stay on to dance under the stars to a local steel band. Buy a BBQ dinner


St John’s


St John’s is the island’s capital. The Antigua and Barbuda Museum curates things old and new from colonial artifacts to Viv Richards' cricket bat! Shopping is good in St John’s and the National Sports Stadium is here.


Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour


A UNESCO World Heritage since 2016. English Harbour is a Georgian naval dockyard, restored and named after Lord Nelson. The young Horatio Nelson served here.


The museum has a vibrant atmosphere and an excellent children’s section. These days the marina is filled with modern yachts, and sailors. You can visit the old stone fortifications on the surrounding hillsides.


Rainforest canopy tour


A series of wire descents, suspended walkways, and two tree houses in the canopy. A full tour lasts 2½ hours. You finish at a café with a view. 




The nation of Antigua and Barbuda comprises two different islands. Barbuda is 30 miles north of Antigua. The main population of only 1500 lives in Codrington (compared to Antigua’s 80,000).


A large lagoon, surrounded by beautiful sand, is the nesting grounds for the frigate birds. The male birds blow up their scarlet gullets during mating season.


There are several of hotels in Codrington. If you want something different, spend a day on Barbuda.


Sport in Antigua


As with everywhere else in the Caribbean, Antiguans love their sport. The Antigua Recreation Ground (the national stadium) in St John's has hosted 22 Test Matches and many One-Day Internationals. It is also the home of the national football team. Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, in North Sound, built for the 2007 Cricket World Cup, hosted Super 8 matches.


Antigua holidays provide opportunities for Scuba diving, fishing, kayaking, and snorkeling among water-based pursuits. If land-based activities are more to your liking, try hiking, horseback riding, or golf.



Weather in Antigua


Antigua is a tropical island.  Its nearness to the equator means that there is little seasonal variation. The average annual temperature is 25C. The average sea temperature is constant all year round, ranging from 27°C to 29°C.


The hot dry season for Antigua is June to October.

The wet season is few degrees lower.

Rainfall in Antigua, unlike the UK, falls as a light shower.



Flights to Antigua


There are several flights a week between the UK and Antigua (St John’s International Airport). Virgin Atlantic and British Airways flights take just eight and a half hours so get your Holidays started quickly. British passport holders don’t require a visa for Antigua as long as they have an onward or return flight booked.
