Antigua, the picture-perfect Caribbean island, surrounded by coral reefs and sun-drenched beaches, has a coastal landscape, dotted with lagoons, and natural harbours. It is bordered by a clear blue tropical sea.

Set in the north-western corner in 17 acres of beautiful tropical gardens lies the Blue Waters Resort & Spa.

Prince Harry stayed at Blue Waters! He spent one night here during his Official Tour of the Caribbean in 2016.

Why did he choose Blue Waters? Could it be that for this former Captain of the Household Cavalry, Soldiers Bay was the attraction? Well, it is one of Antigua’s more fashionable residential areas (where guests enjoy a safe and private stay). Perhaps it was the west facing position of the resort which enjoys all-day sunshine and spectacular sunsets?

If Prince Harry had stayed for seven nights, he could have enjoyed the freshwater pools and secluded beach coves. Or he could have walked in splendid tropical gardens. But even for one night, he could have relaxed from his official engagements by chilling at the Blue Waters Spa. And he would have experienced the international cuisine, and the first-class service, for which the Blue Water Resort is famous.

But here at Blue Waters, luxury living is available to every guest, whether families, couples or singles. So, if you want the holiday of a lifetime, book the Blue Waters Resort now and receive the royal treatment!

Here’s what legendary choreographer, dancer, and TV personality, Bruno Tonioli, had to say about the Blue Waters resort:

“On Antigua, I also stayed at the Blue Waters resort. It has lovely secluded beach coves, seven freshwater pools, and 17 acres of lush tropical gardens. And, best of all, it offers ultra-luxurious Cove Suites. As a connoisseur of great views and spacious terraces, I luxuriated in both!”

And resort guest English journalist, writer, and television presenter, Piers Morgan affirmed,

“We started at Rock Cottage, an extraordinary place set off the grounds of the Blue Waters resort in the north of the island. This is properly five-star accommodation. The service is unobtrusive but relentlessly efficient.”

Antigua Weather

Antigua & Barbuda is about 1100 miles north of the equator. So, the island has a tropical climate which means long sunny days year-round.

The average temperature is a constant 26°C in the summer falling to 23°C in January.

Best time to visit Antigua

There probably isn’t a best time to visit Antigua because the island enjoys a beautiful, warm climate all year round.

Summer and autumn fall within hurricane season, so expect slightly heavier rains and an increase in rainfall during this time. On average, the island has around 1,140mm of yearly rainfall, with October having the most rain spread over 16 days of the month. Heavy showers soon dry up though.

Enjoyable sea breezes from the trade winds cool things down and lowers humidity levels. If you want to enjoy the warmest weather, the best time to go to Antigua is in August, when temperatures reach highs of 31°C.
