Marvel at the Great Hall, 50 metres high, and the\nAlter, formed over millennia from mineral deposits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Hunte&#8217;s Gardens<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not your average botanical garden. Hunte\u2019s Gardens are a sensory experience. You can wander through the\norchids and yellow-tipped craboo trees to\nthe sound of classical music drifting through the trees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Statues hide behind exotic plants. There is a huge sinkhole,\nsurrounded by secret gardens waiting to be discovered. And, if you are lucky, the owner Anthony Hunte will invite you to a rum punch on the verandah of his\nhouse. The larger is at Queens Park in Bridgetown and is 60\nfeet in circumference. They reckon this tree to be over 1000 years old. The story goes that a\nseed made its way across the Atlantic from Guinea in West Africa to start this\ntree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\ncan find the other Baobab Tree in a small park at Warrens in the parish of St\nMichael. The\nflowers open only at night. Bats pollinate the trees by feeding on the nectar. In late summer the pendant\nfruits are velvet covered, gray and gourdlike, a foot long. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If\nyou are in <strong>Bridgetown<\/strong>, be sure to\nvisit this unique tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Bathsheba Barbados Atlantic rollers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The east coast of Barbados is renowned as a surfer\u2019s paradise. Not\nfor the faint-hearted, but for those who enjoy the challenge of the big\nAtlantic waves. Head for <strong>Bathsheba\nBarbados<\/strong> where you will find the infamous reef break, <strong>The Soup Bowl<\/strong>. Here you will discover the graceful\nJacobean frontage of St. Nicholas Abbey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It sounds as if it was a monastery\nat some stage of its life. But, St Nicholas Abbey is, and always has been, a\nprivate residence since its creation 350 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The house is a\nmuseum open to visitors. It has many artifacts and items of interest. This is\nstill a sugar cane plantation. They press the sugar cane is from January to May\non site to produce the syrup for their famous rum. But take time out to\nexperience the essence of island life, with a visit to Speightstown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, old weather-beaten architecture welcomes travellers to Speightstown. There are rows of rickety\nfishing shacks, and unassuming fisherman land their catch.
